MEET JEFF
For Jeff Martin, service isn't just a responsibility—it's a way of life.
Born and raised in Blacksburg, Jeff is a lifelong Cherokee County resident, veteran, father, and law enforcement officer who has dedicated his life to helping others. From serving our nation in Afghanistan to spending the past 18 years in law enforcement, Jeff has devoted his career to keeping our community safe and making Cherokee County a stronger place to call home.
Now, as a School Resource Officer, Jeff works alongside students, teachers, and families every day. That firsthand experience has given him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our schools, preparing him to serve on the Cherokee County School Board.

As a law enforcement officer and SRO, I've spent my career protecting our community and working to keep students safe. I understand that school safety requires preparation, strong partnerships, and common-sense solutions. I'll bring that firsthand experience to the School Board by supporting practical policies that create secure learning environments where every classroom can focus on learning.
Student Success

Every student deserves a quality education that prepares them for the future. I'll work to strengthen academics, expand opportunities, and equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed after graduation.
Supporting Teachers
Equipping those who shape the next generation.
Teachers are the foundation of strong schools and successful students. I'll work to ensure they have the resources, support, and respect they deserve so they can focus on delivering the quality education every student deserves.
Parents Partnership
Parents should have a voice in their child's education.
As a father, I know parents want to be informed, involved, and heard in their children's education. I'll strengthen communication, increase transparency, and build stronger partnerships between families and our schools.

My career has been built on service, accountability, and earning the public's trust. I'll bring those same values to the School Board by making transparent decisions, being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars, and always putting students first.
